Graham met another trathlete on the campsite and they decided to travel on the 7.30 bus into Geneva. An early start with number tattoos applied , sun cream on and pre race breakfast. I delivered them to the bus stop and went back to see if there was any other signs of life at base camp. Slowly the campers emerged and prepared themselves for the day ahead in the hot sun, We failed to get to the bus stop by 10am as planned so had to wait another half ann ...
... and I would have to pay again. Anyway with Graham in charge "the operation tandem on roof" went very well and we got out of the car park and back to the tranquility of the campsite. Three tents now set up, on our pitch this is what you call "family camping" . Sarah and Duncan arrived at 10 30 Graham having picked them up from the airport. ... had fixed the cable car so we had a nice easy ride back up!
Having missed our close encounter with the glacier we stopped at the Bosson Glacier. This was a nice slow chair lift that was working! It took about 10-15 minutes of sitting relaxing which is something I don't do often and I actually found it quite pleasant. We saw some horses in the trees and there were some beautiful flowers and green gullies.

This is a trick we do in San Jose as well. Anytime we go out and we know its going o be a late night, we take the kids PJs with us, and do their night routine before getting into the car and driving - because they will pass out on the way back.
