    ... in WW II when they occupied France. They are still there, and I am presuming that their present role is to as an anchorage for large yachts.

    ... of the town destroyed. We didn’t care to see the WWII barracks, nor the Submarine base so the only other place was an island off shore with the only convex beach in Europe.     Great camp site. Peaceful setting. On the bike for supermarche shop for essentials - cheese, pâté, wine and stuff. Just done 20 lengths of the pool. Not as warm as Baringo and considerably less ambience! Nice long evenings as French don't do our messing around with clocks. Perhaps we can be sensible if ...
