Our first week here included days of clearing bramble, wood chipping and Matts natural ability to chop wood logs. We cleared an area of land full of bramble that revealed Ragadan (a Brazilian origin 'beaver-rat') tunnel holes and a small area containing wild flowers. ... was the fact these guys are almost completely self sustained! They grow all their own vegetables, make their own cheeses, brew their own beer, ginger beer and spreads and even their own sausages, bacon etc. We are hopefully going to be shown as much as possible whilst we are here and learn some new skills.
