... who is keen to emigrate to NZ. Saskia and her husband Martin took us out for a lovely Panakokein dinner which was thin large pancakes. I had half with bacon, tomato, cheese and onion, and half with banana chocolate sauce and cream. I liked the savoury one the best. The filling was cooked in the very thin pancake. ... the roads here never seem to be congested, despite the population.

Tomorrow (Friday) we are are planning a canal cruise in the morning and then it is off to the airport for our flight to Venice. Unfortunately, the weather forecast for Venice is for rain and cold temperatures so as I write this Sandy is on the iPad researching "things to do in Venice when it is raining".

Our next update will be from Italy, Ciao.....
