    AmaDante ship - First day excursions.

    Woke up on the ship AmaDante this morning and had an early wonderful breakfast with many choices. On offer were fresh fruits berries and cereals and all juices and many breads and crussants and eggs done anyway requested.We opted for fresh fruit , cereals ,and custom made omelettes.

    Then it was off for the first half day excursion trips.
    Judy and I chose the Amsterdam canal boat trip which didn't disappoint.The guides commentary was very interesting. ...

When we got back to the boat we had a drink with some new friends (they had been on the boat for the entire trip but we hadn't met them until tonight).     ... is just the way to start a day. It took about 45 minutes to walk to the place, and there was nothing there. No market. Without wifi I couldn't look it up at the time but I later found out that market is only on Mondays. Oh well. So I decided to walk to the complete other side of town to check out a tattoo museum. It took over an hour to walk there. And meanwhile the sun had come out to shine its brightest and heat things up to around 30 degrees Celsius. It got hot. ...

    ... one. We spent the morning in the line at the Anne Frank Museum. It was a moving experience to see where they lived and what became of them. Tough, but as Mary Goldie says we must bear witness. It affected Gord as he didn't read the book or really know the history and wasn't quite prepared for what he saw and felt.
