The countdown is on! Next week on Thursday (Ascension Day) I will leave for Switzerland, where I'll be visiting friends whom I haven't seen for some years. And from there I'll be going to New York on Sunday. At last my chance to visit Broadway. :) I don't know yet which other cities I'll be visiting, although I do have a shortlist in my mind. But just like my first visit to Australia in 2009/2010 I'm just going to improvise. And with this blog I'll be keeping you up to ...

We wake up Friday morning, get our bags, organise a cab and make our way to the airport for our flight to the states. Europe ...

... sat there, eating our brownie and having the occasional puff and soon started to feel very relaxed. Then the giggles came. Afterwards of course we were hungry, so we grabbed some frites - fries with many different sauces you can choose from. Delicious. Now the Dutch word for sauce is saus. But after a visit to The Grasshopper, all I was seeing and reading was a list of different types of dinosaurs. So when I order my frites ...

I don't have many photos with this entry because we couldn't take pictures at the Van Gogh Museum or the red light district, which occupied most of our day. The weather forecasted rain till the afternoon, so we decided to do laundry in the morning. The laundromat was only a 5 minute walk away and there was just a light drizzle, so we put on our last pair of clean clothes and headed out. The laundromat was fairly empty and had directions in ...
