... beautiful city of Perth. We found a great cafe named Howie's Bistro where we indulged in a cream tea before the final 15 mile jaunt.
Our overnight stop was at Birnham next to the river side town of Dunkeld. On recommendation by our host we dined at Howie's Bistro again and had a lovely meal...if only they did a loyalty card!

... of people to the games. Grandma had bought us some tickets and we had places to sit but couldn't find them....and then it started to really rain! We made dry places to sit with plastic bags and ate our picnic watching the tug-of-war. In the distance i could see people running up the hill for the hill race. It was really steep but i still wish i could have joined in! You have to be 16 ...
After breakfast this morning we went for a cycle along the Ness river in Inverness - there was a cycling tour in town and it reminded us of "The Big Rides" back home, seeing all the cyclists meeting up then heading out of town.
After checking out of our hotel we headed for the Malt whisky trail, stopping at the Glenfidditch distillery in Dufftown where we went on a free 1 hr tour of the distillery ending with tasting of 12 yr old, ...
... anyone ran the mountain on mad Sunday I put my hand up.....expecting a flood of hands....didn't happen....only a few...sooooo I guess I must have been taller than the rest of em and they spotted my lil hand and next thing I was being dragged to the front of the show....a big ass mic was stuck in me face along with a camera the size of a watermelon.....and a lovely gal started to ask me questions...seems that since it was raining ...
... rest of the week did not look good so figured today would be a good day to watch from the mountain as it is suppose to have nice view. The rest of the weeks weather was very dodgy at best. So turns out I can get there from the inside of the course and the way the lil country roads go there is sort of a secret way back not Douglas on the outside of the course if you do it right. Sounded like a good challenge so off I went, I needed to beat the road closure. Its ...
