We got up early to take pictures in the snow but it was FREEZING cold outside so we went to breakfast in the restaurant which is at the top of the hotel. The restaurant is revolving so we had a very good view of the city covered completely in snow. Since we were 30 stories high, the windows were fogged up. After that, we went on the bus along the …

Historical Traveler Reviews Loews Le Concorde Hotel Quebec City
Rude Doorman
Indifferent staff. Extreamly rude night doorman. Will not stay here again.
Damaged car while valet parking... still waiting to be paid
Pricey. Rooms are old and cold. Greatly in need of renovation.
Valet damaged car. Never told me while staying at the hotel. Security people in charge never responded to my request for damage claim.
Bottom line. Don't valet park.. you'll probably not get money for damages.
A good choice - if you dont mind walking!
There are basically three hotels in Quebec City - The Frontenac, the Hilton, and the Loews. The Loews is where you'll probably find the best deals, and the best views. While the rooms and elevators seem a bit outdated, there is nothing wrong with them. The revolving restaurant on the roof is really special, make sure you eat a meal there even if you dont stay at the hotel. The pool is nice too-its outdoor but not on the ground floor. It has a somewhat nice view of the surrounding area. If you stay here be prepared to walk, and I mean walk! The old city is 15-20 minuts, and when its cold outside itll seem like an hour. But if you dont mind all of these things, stay at the Loews. Just the shape of this hotel tells all!
Loved the sensibility of the staff and the warmth of the place
I was going to meet a client in quebec city during a week-end. I arrived at loews with my wife on friday and we left on sunday. Since part of our decision to be at Le Concorde was for business reasons, I was staying at a business suite so my guest could come in our room which was divided into a room and a large business lounge. I also had to find something to do for my wife while I had to proceed with my meeting. The hotel staff suggested to my wife to go to a beauty salon near the hotel, they also suggested shopping centers were she could spend some time. While me and my guest were pamperd by the hotel staff, my wife got an exceptionnal greeting by the beauty salon which were waiting for her. The beautiful view from the hotel, the classic elegance of the lounge and the class of the hotel staff helped me close a major deal with my client while my wife came back delignted by the special care that was given to her thru the hotel connections at the beauty salon. I won three time by having chosen Le Concorde. I won a deal, my wife was very happy and I was very excited to find how beautiful she came back from her beauty salon/shopping experience. We could then spend quite an interesting saturday night at the hotel.
Thank's a million for everything, I'll be back and I will certainly tell all my friens about the special care we receive at Le Concorde
Great location, modern convenience
My wife and I spent 4 days here in October and were pleased with the service and accomodations. The consierge was very helpful in setting dinner arrangements at local restaurants, and the doorman, Yvon, was very attentive and pleasant.
The room was large and had a balcony facing north with windows facing east overlooking the old city, the river, and the Chateau. And the bed and linens were fantastic. Overall, the hotel lacks the old world charm of Quebec but is very comfortable and close enough to be a part of it.
Loved the great location of le Concorde
Loved the location and the views! Wonderful for walking in all directions. Dinner at the revolving restaurant was delicious, beautifully presented, and reasonable, however, better to eat breakfast elsewhere. Staff was most helpful.
Great Hotel - Very Rude Doorman
Had it not been for the extremely rude doorman it would have been a nice stay. The weekend evening door man (Richard) was so rude that we had to lodge a complaint with the hotel manager.
(which probably did no good what so ever)
My wife and I were going out to dinner and needed our car brought up. We go outside as usual to give the doorman our ticket so he can call down for our car and find this doorman (Richard) casually talking and laughing with someone in a double parked car. This fellow ignored us for almost 5 minutes while we stood there ticket in hand. When he finally came over to us we told
him we were a little put out with the wait. He shrugged, looked at our
ticket and with a smug smile he said we had to go back inside to the
desk and get the ticket stamped anyway. I asked why and he said that's
the way it is done. I informed him that I was a guest at the hotel and
gave him my room number and told him I had been a guest for 4 days
taken out my car a number of times and had never been required to get a
stamp before for valet parking. (that is automatically added to the
bill at the rate of 19.00 per day whether you use you car during your
stay or not) He then rudely and loudly says if you want your car go get
it stamped. My wife was speechless.
What atrocious treatment of a guests at a 4 star hotel.
Broken promises
We were very pleased with the hotel, but after leaving for Montreal we realized that we left medication and some other items in the room.
After two phone calls requesting the items be sent to us and offering to pay for the courier service we have not recieved the items or heard from the hotel. Very disappointe that they would take this approach when medication is involved.
Great Staff
Stayed for three nights and was very happy with the level of service we received here. Had a room on the fifteenth floor overlooking the St.
Lawrence River. The hotel is a 5-10 minute walk to the old city and conveniently located on the Grand Allee' with its numerous restaurants.
The prices were reasonable the staff quite friendly. Would definitely stay here again.
New Years Eve at the le Concorde
A real pleasure! We enjoyed our stay so much and look forward to the next visit during a not so cold time of the year. The hotel provided us with the warmth and professional hospitality that we were looking for. Our room on the 25th floor was terrific, very clean and nicely furnished! In addition, it provided us with great views of the St. Lawrence seaway.
Over all, we can only recommend the hotel to anyone that plans to visit Quebec City!
