Lots of photos today.
Today is National day in Norway. People get dressed up and in each town
there is a march through the streets. We came across a march which held
us up for a while, but it was good to see.
... a souvenir store where I purchased a couple of postcards. Then we went over the bridge into the "town" to find the bakery Vivian had mentioned. We bought a few items for our lunch. For a drink, I went into the local grocery store and purchased a water bottle for my lunch and the rest of the trip today. We then walked over the bridge to a park bench to eat our pastries. ... s been recently restored and the furnishings are true to the period. We had another plated meal (this time it was lamb, mashed potatoes, and carrots with a brownie for dessert. When we were finished, we were invited to check out the hotel's rooms, even the guest rooms upstairs (as long as the doors were open). We got back to the hotel at around 4 p.m. and Gary and I took a walk near the hotel prior to dinner.

We were free for a couple of hours this afternoon. Gary and I checked out the hotel services--the facility is quite beautiful with both and indoor and outdoor pool, hot tub, spa, exercise equipment, etc. ...
... Shortly afterwards, we stopped for a photo op where we could view a glacier called B°yabreen. We weren't very close but it's hard not to be impressed.
We arrived at our hotel at around 6 and gathered for dinner at about 7:15. Tonight was a buffet; everything I tasted was very good but I have a tendency to eat a plate of salad and vegetables first because we get so few of them here.
