Well our time was up in Bullhead City, we said our goodbye’s
to family and friends and headed to Williams AZ to see the Grand Canyon……YIPPEE.

Diane and I had lunch in the cafe in town. I had the 'burro breath" burger, which was LOADED with crushed garlic - good, but oh my - did I get feedback for days!
Fun little town - lots of neat shops.
... for US-93 in Arizona over US-95 in Nevada and managed to avoid needing our rain gear. Keeping the bike upright in the gusty wind was no small feat without having to worry about wet pavement besides.

Through Needles, Essex and Amboy to Barstow. We stopped at the shoe tree - or what we thought was the shoe tree - but foiled! Wrong tree.......ah well...... and Amboy Crater. After checking in to the Route 66 Motel in Barstow we ate Italian at DiNapoli's Firehouse; decent food and full of fire station memorabilia from the area - right up Richard's alley.
We're in Californ-I-A baby!
