... I've always heard the stars are brighter in the desert, and it's true. Wow. If this resort was on a Caribbean Island, we would be paying a ton of $ and talking about what a wonder island it is to visit. Carole Lombard and Clarke Gable spent their wedding night there after their wedding in Kingman in 1939 and afterwards Clarke used to return to play poker with the miners. The burros that wander the street are descendants of the ones released by miners back in the day, when the rush was over.

We left New Mexico this morning & made it to laughlin. It's a 7 hr drive, but we set our clocks back to our time & gained an hour... Made it go by fast. We got there at 4:00 pm... We were very tired, but not so tired we couldn't gamble...lol
