... there. More great catching up! On Labour Day we headed for the border on the start of our return trip. Made it just past Bemidji to Walker, Minnesota, on Tuesday we made it as far as Winona, Minn., and then last night we arrived in Geneseo, Illinois. We have been following the Mississippi south and it has been a gorgeous drive. Amazing bluffs along the river and little towns tucked into narrow river ...

... we could have stayed another day to visit with them a bit more. Left on Friday morning, driving in a window of good weather to get home before it rained. Now we are in the Davenport area at our last Marriott. It might be the last one not to be remodeled but still home away from home. We didn't even bring our backpacks in because its 1000 PM and we are done dragging them in and out. We hit the road for home tomorrow. Since we dropped a day in Rapid City and ...

I got up with the sunrise at the lake. It had been a couple days since I cleaned my dromedary so I emptied the water and refilled at the spigot. A lady came up and asked if I was going to be drinking it. She informed me that there was a sign somewhere that says not to drink the water because it hasn't been properly tested. I had already chugged a couple bottles last night and today. I figured the damage is done if I'm going to get sick from it. They should probably post the ...
