... almost enclosed anchorage just North of Craighouse (where we were on July 8th)
We are now on a 'starting the engine every four hours to keep it warm' regime.
For those that don't know, EasyStart is spray can of ether that you squirt into the air intake. It's highlighy volatile and gives the engine a bit of a kick. It's very effective but at the same time casues damage to the pistons and piston rings.

... After the alloted half an hour we put all sail out and experienced a glorious sailing afternoon. We beat at 55 degrees against a force two and made 5 knots for a couple of hours. Then the wind veered 20 degrees so we tacked onto starboard for half an hour. That took us to within an hours steaming, which is what we need to ensure the batteries are fully charged. Ideal!

For any that know, we are not going though the Gulf Corryvreckan, and for those that don't know the Admiralty Pilot guide calls it "very violent and dangerous" and says "no vessel should then attempt this passage without local knowledge. Hence we are not going there!
