With time rapidly dwindling I went down to Banbury way this afternoon to visit my brother et famille before I leave, taking the opportunity to say goobye to two young nephews - one of whom was able to appreciate some of the implications of what I am doing, "But what if you get sick?" he asked. :-)

Oxford, United Kingdom krb2gWoke hearing the ringing of church bells from Holy Trinity for the 6am and 8.30 am services – such a lovely sound!!. Lay in and read for awhile before heading out to Kenilworth Castle (about 20 mins. away) with Stephen & Michele. Cost 4 pounds 95 for me and 2 pounds 50p for Nathan (total $17.50)

... rolls from a French patisserie for lunch. We got back to Stratford about 3 pm and read a book for a few hours. We went to the "Dirty Duck", a Black Swan pub for dinner. Had a great day – love walking the public footpaths and plan to do lots more in the future.
Brad called & woke me up at 6.30 am... looked outside and there was snow on the cars and rooves.... so pretty. Today was 3 degrees but minus 3 with the wind chill. All the way home we looked for a bakery to buy some sausage rolls for lunch but couldn’t find any. We had a late lunch when we got home at 3.45 pm. Tonight for dinner we bought Indian from Tesco’s Supermarket and heated it up. Really no cooking and so nice.

We then climbed up and walked along the Ramparts and Towers along the whole front wall. It was so windy and cold. All day we were freezing and our feet were numb. It was about 2 degrees C.

Woke up 3 am and dozed until 6am and then got up. Nathan slept until 8 am. Michele made us all porridge for breakfast. This morning we did a 2 hour walk around Stratford with Stephen. . Had yummy meal of fish and black forest cake. Flew 7 hours to Munich and only had 30 mins from when the plane landed till the next one left. We made it but discovered when we got to London, that our luggage hadn't. Took 1-1/2 hours to London – got there 2.10 pm. It was 4 hours behind Dubai.
