We woke to an absolutely beautiful day here in Monte Argentario Italy. Seeing the forecast, we booked a tee time at the local country club, the Argentario Golf Club.
Country has a whole new meaning here as the golf course was under attack from ravaging wild pigs. Not sure if it is a fall phenomenon or a problem year round but more than half the holes were ...

The sturdy walled town was an ideal place to establish their own furnaces and glass making business. The wood from the local forests and sand from the bed of the River Nestore gave the men all the natural resources they needed.

The glass workers were famous for creating mosaics and stained glass windows for many cathedrals. ...

    Ciao again Amici's !!!

Alora , much to our surprise we found out ( well after a bit of research !! ) that Tuscany, world famous for its landscapes, its climate, its wine and life-style is also an area rich in natural hot water spas , called Terme.

All the Tuscan spas have a long history. For example, in Saturnia the story goes that Jove, angry with Saturn, hurled lightning at him. It missed but in the place where it fell it created a spring of ...
