    Stopped here for the night, couldn't make Monaco.
    The town is called Cuneo, it's got a lovely main piazza with bars and restaurants all round.
    Is a bit out of the way, and I think is a base camp for skiing in the winter.
    The B&B was great value, absolutely spotless room, with underground parking, worth a call if you're in that area.
    So off to San Remo, which means mountains, got to find a Garmin store, as Sally can't find London, I spell it ...

    ... owner was a very friendly guy who sat with us for some time. He was a wonderful ambassador for his country and loved practicing his English on us. The feeling was mutual. We continued on to our Hotel Giardi Resort in the town of Imperia. It turned out to have a fabulous view of the coast, the autostrada and the surrounding hillside villages but had probably seen better days. We had a lazy afternoon and dinner in house in anticipation of another day on the road ...

    Last day and Chrissi packs while I run up town to do a few last minute things ...i walk her to the bus to farewell my fello traveller ...she's off to Barcelona ...then Paris ...go girl !! Then...     ... was comfortable, and the big windows had a blackout shade that came down, so we slept it total darkness. If we ever get a chance to go back, we will stay there for sure.

    The Food

    The owner of the b&b we stayed at, Lorenzo, gave us very strict instructions to try four local dishes before leaving the Langhe. He actually said to me, "Look me the eyes. You cannot leave without trying these." and then he ...
