Had a decent night sleep. Europeans like their stiff beds. Can't wait to get home to my softer bed. Set the alarm for 6:30 am with full intention on catching the 7:55 am train to Monterosso, walk around the town a bit then hike to the next town Vernazza. At least that was the plan. Who was it that said "the best laid plans are meant to be followed …

One sort was called Croxie (not sure if i got the spelling right). ... out and walk down the main pedestrian street to a park at the end... strum some songs, then wander some alley back to the train station. I know I'm not doing this town justice--but that's all I can do today... Not complaining. I could've gotten sick up in the Alps somewhere. Now's time to just let it all go and focus and heading home. I continue on to Pisa, check into a hostel and hit the ...

... to sit and soak it in. Arriving in Corniglia is surpirsing as it is very small and the littlest of them all. From here I continued along to Venazza with narrow footings but one of my favourites. After that effort I rewarded myself with a hardy meal & at a table right at the street path I came upon the best restaurant so far ' Trattoria del Sandro'. When my meal arrived I just took a moment to apreciate it's presentation both with my eyes and nose. A scent of nutmeg tickles ...
