      Had a decent night sleep. Europeans like their stiff beds. Can't wait to get home to my softer bed. Set the alarm for 6:30 am with full intention on catching the 7:55 am train to Monterosso, walk around the town a bit then hike to the next town Vernazza. At least that was the plan.       ... walk from everything, and the only down side was the lack of a microwave oven, a kettle (we had to boil water in a saucepan for cups of tea) and a quite unreliable internet connection (We don't like TIM Communications at all). The upstairs neighbours were also a bit noisy late at night, still we are not used to apartment living.
      We will miss you Sorrento and would love to come back.

      ... arrived at Pisa San Rossore we didn't have a clue where we were going! We knew we needed to go "down the underpass" and we had a googlemap print out showing the main roads, the station and the campsite (all of which were very close to each other) but there was nothing to show how the station and the underpass were connected.       ... the last village has a beautiful beach lined with colourful umbrellas and plenty of people watching. There are a few posers just standing in their speedos with their hands on their hips.

      An italian "sea man" (navy character) chats to us on our way home and tries to convince us to disco. He is a tad dodgy so we avoid.

      ... to be challenging so we were prepared. We hadn’t been prepared for Corniglia to Vernazza so I think that is why we found it more difficult. In all reality though, no stretch of the hike was ever actually difficult, it’s just that we weren’t properly prepared for it. Both of the shoes Audra and I had brought for the hike were tearing up our feet so we had make a last minute decision to use different shoes, not as good for hiking. My Nike’s held up ...
