... was outrageous, sooooo many trucks and of course everything travelling very quickly. It was most tiring for John as the driver. The closer we got to Milan the worse it got, anyway, we survived. Luckily the road basically bypasses Milan and we were soon in Como.
Well a shock we got! The lake is pretty but Como is a huge suburb of Milan really. In fact most of the lake has housing surrounding it, albeit rather flash housing :-). Arrived at ...

Well from the outside of city there is a breathtaking view of the upper town but once you are in it I woudn't say the same. Still there is plenty to see wandering around the streets and lots of lovely churches to explore. But it's definitely not the best medieval town in Italy.

... right on the lake, it had gorgeous views of the Alps as well. We walked along the water and grabbed some lunch. It was very nice. We returned to Bergamo, walked around a little longer and went back to the hostel to sleep.

In the morning, we got up early and had some breakfast before we headed off to the airport to go to Greece!

... earrings, leather waistcoats) were unbelievably working their way through the customers at amazing speed whilst seemingly talking to everyone in the queue at the same time. Not for the fainthearted but we quickly found ourselves served and surprisingly were able to sit at the bar itself and admire the theatre behind it.

The inside was full and with a couple of hundred outside it is incredible how the two of them cope with it. And in the same small bar area ...
