Found a more useful train that goes right into Milan porta garibaldi so tugged the luggage up the hill, the extra 10 euros spent on wheels with a 2 year guarantee paying off, I reckon if I'd brought one from the Chinese merchants in Florence the wheels would have come off leaving the boat. Stresa station has hints of faded fin d'ciel elegance, some very Austrian nouveau ironwork and signage fading away under an onslaught ...
