This is a great area to come for a slow down and relax, beach stay at the bottom of the boot of Italy.

Our apartment is in a resort complex with an fantastic terrace and pool on the roof.

The kids loved swimming all day and we loved watching the stunning and beautiful sunsets each night up there.

Tropea is a cool town with a great vibe and many restaurants and little streets.

... way through the beach Zara and I found bamboo and pretended we were on a survival island and built a camp fire and a little house.

We walked to the top of the cliff and drove to this nice restaurant on top of the cliff.

We drove home and swam again and it was so nice because it was really hot.

At the burger shop I ate a awesome burger and the funny thing is, is that Jordan and dad mixed up burgers and Jordan got the spicy one.

... was expensive?) about where we go next. We did have every intention of going to Sicily but the more we talk about it the less we are inclined. Beaches and quaint towns and villages are all very well but we get the greatest pleasure from walking and unless we come across some compelling evidence in the next day or so that Sicily is a walker's paradise with campsites in the heart of walking country then we may start heading back north. I'll let you ...

The birthplace of Archimedes(you remember the book Mr Archimedes bath) and chosen island for Mafia. There are quite a few mafia type souvenirs around the little shops, along with lava from Mt Etna, which was smoking satisfactorily when we were leaving. Lots of tiny streets in the old town, plus, of course, high end shops and tourists, but not as many as other places. Antiquities too and I would have liked to spend more time here and less in ...
