Paseo de la Castellana 210 Lleida, Catalonia, Spain and Canary Islands, 25080
... we were off to dinner in a local's joint with traditional checkered table clothes and Catalan standards like papa brava and baby octopus in tomato sauce. The night was finished off in true Spanish style at half past three in the morning at a local smoky bar with dim lighting and solid wood chairs. And this was on a weeknight. Our timing could not have been better as it was election time and we had the benefit of the company of an expat and her Spanish husband to ...
Lleida, Catalonia, Spain and Canary Islands jenandjeffmilumWell, most people like Jordi. We made a solid effort to get along with him, but we didn't feel the same effort from him. He often served cold food, including making mashed potatoes and putting them in the fridge for a few hours to serve them cold. Old ...
Salut a tots!!!
Sudanell, Spain and Canary Islands bigfish.al... The sat nav took us around the Midi-Pyrenees which was incredible, but scary! We drove so high up that we were above the clouds, of course it was still raining constantly, and I do not love heights and wanted to shut my eyes the entire time but that isn´t sensible as I´m the driver.. :) The van didn´t exactly love the mountains either and a lot of the journey was done in second gear and took up ...
Lleida, Catalonia, Spain and Canary Islands rosieandmaxwell... markets and eating it in parks a lot lately, which has saved us a ton of dough. We also have the chance to improve our Karma by giving our left overs to bums. As I´m reading this.. I´m realizing that I really don´t have any interesting stories from Zaragoza. Don´t let my lack of interesting writing sour you on this fantastic city. If you ever get the chance, go there.. I think you´ll like it.
Zaragoza, Spain natecropp... looking pretty tame, oh spaPIN looks pretty 3rd world compared to the rest of euro, well thats all i can think of for now, and hey shane hows bejjing? and china? get yourself some cheap nikes or what? hah anyways hope everyones having fun, its hot here looking forward to pampalona and then back to germany, wish i packed a lil less, we are moving around so much anyways time to run, sorry for the boring email.
Zaragoza, Spain senorbrian... up clip at roof. Stupid as changed my mind when I got there - ***** again. Pumped out and fell off. Got the crux clean though off. Got the crux clean though after. Think 7c is my upper at present? Tied a 7b+ straight after. Almost clean, but one fall. Mindlessly pumped as I started so chuffed that I fell off due to grabbing hold incorrectly. Last day so on the road again. Still though, have a great impression of the place. Amazing!!!!
Rodellar, Spain mcquain2**** sleep, don't feel good at all. Plan is for a new 7c+. Went up to Sector Latina, but the only 7a is taken and everything else looks too hard for warm-up. Down to La Fuente, a gorgeous sector beside the river. Nice 6b to warm up, and a short 7a. Up to Sector Pince San Rire for a 7c+ I'd my eye on. It's wet - *****.... Very hot in sun, so back to 7c+ beside the river (Sector Aguest Any Si). Got to top, but wishing I'd worked all the moves on the 1st day as fell off last ...
Rodellar, Spain mcquain2Shoulders achey, arms are great! must figure out what I'm training wrong at the moment. Awesome chill out day. Not completely ideal as haven't done a hard route, but still it's early in the season so can't complain too much. Thoughts on trip: lacking in mileage (as usual!) but big improvements on before. Potential for a hard route is there now..... Maybe it's worth trying one? Tomorrow, hopefully do a 7c+, and then see what to do!
Rodellar, Spain mcquain2... and some other silly thoughts that have come to mind since i've settled into barca: heh yes, spanish men are indeed better-looking than spanish women (heh im not complaining) spanish people have pretty masculine features so it looks great on guys but kinda "rough" on girls. im still not used to some of the tapas that i ate here. it´s really different from those that i´ve tried back in singapore. but hopefully i´ll ...
