This is the last day that we have the car and after 32 days of driving I am ready to return it. It take me ten minutes before we leave to give it a quick wash - after a month it needs it. We begin the day by having a final wander around parts of Carcassonne citie and are on the road by 11. We have a new country to visit - Andorra - which is less than 200 Kms away. The first part of the trip is relatively uninteresting, as scenically the area around Carcassonne has little to offer. However once we get beyond Foix the landscape immediately changes as we reach the foothills of the Pyrenees. The road winds sharply and steeply to an altitude,of over 2000 metres. ...
... but our Spanish guide book was unable to offer much assistance in deciphering the local menu. We chose what we took was a combination meal perhaps consisting of a few types of tapas type treat's as well as some calamari. But the combo was simply salad, chips and a piece of chicken and a dish of calamari no better that from an Aussie fish shop. Strange.
