... we drove back to the hotel and parked up and went and had a shower to warm up and try and get out clothes dry. We walked back to town to grab some lunch, meanwhile the thunderstorm was still going strong. The storm here is nearly better than the one we had in Hawaii, the thunder is seriously so loud and fork lightening! Lunch was tasty - 2 x 500ml beers, a large pizza and spaghetti, cost us less than $30 Aussie - we love Croatia ...

When his wife passed, he had the sphinx created in her honour. It includes hieroglyphics on the crown of the sphinx, which to this day has not been deciphered. ... then it blended to a light aqua marine, and then finally you could see the dark blue of the sea. The pictures don't do it justice, but it was a great swimming spot. The land was interesting as there were these long, smooth rocks on the shore you could lay your towel on and tan. Even better, there was natural cup holders weathered into the rocks that could hold your drink of choice. You could even dive off the rocks into the sea after sunning yourself. ...
