... We'd get into Zadar at 5:20 instead of 1:30.

But in the meantime, our AirBnB hostess Ana and I had been emailing back and forth. We went to a coffee shop for wifi. She just so happened to be in Rijeka, her hometown, to visit her family and was driving back at noon. She offered us a ride for free, and that would get us in at about 3:30. We knew we missed that bus for a reason.

On the ride there, she filled us in on things ...

Some decent wind finally arrived the following day. We planned to go for a walk in the morning before the wind picked up but ran out of time (that seems to happen extremely easily!) I went out on a 6.4m first and then it picked up to 5.7m weather for Lib's turn. Unfortunately, it quickly continued to comfortable 5.0m weather so Lib had a ...

  • The sea. I have never felt so content as I have lying on your consistently crystal clear Croatian waters.
    • The SUN: that big yellow thing us Scots see in pictures sometimes, and if we're lucky enough it occasionally pays us a visit too...you take it for granted here.
    • It's fantastically cheap (admittedly less so at Zrce beach, but compared to other party destinations like Ibiza, its a definite ...
