... smoors' which are like a Jatz cracker topped with chocolate and marshmallow and toasted in the coals until they are all gooeey. Sensational! We all managed another 4 fabulous days of eating and drinking copious quantities with family and friends who we want to thank from the bottom of our hearts for helping make our last 4 weeks simply amazing. We strolled along the riverside towards a wharf where you can catch a ferry to the other side for the princely sum of half a yuan (about 7 cents) or to the university, which is a ten minutes ride upstream for 1 yuan. ... today.. it is situated in the newer more modern area of Haizhu ..taxi or metro? One walk into the station with it's predominately chinese signage, no english speaking staff and a change of lines required.. I opted for the taxi .. showed the taxi a photo of Canton tower..Chigang Pagoda it is ..and ..it was amazing! Towering above all around it, the parks and gardens in bloom made it quite an oasis in this bustling metropolis.
