... but I believe I am very tolerant when we are obviously getting lost ( not a skill I learnt from my father) and we encounter many pleasant close encounters with the mosque before spinning off in another random direction. In fairness the road system is more than a little exasperating, but after many drive pasts, and being waved away from several parking spots, we do eventually arrive. ... cafeteria. There are renovations going on there and it is a madhouse. This airport is great for people-watching, a real crossroads. There are lots of men in white nighties and some with those red and white tea towels on their heads. There are also lots of ladies in the full black, faces and all. They seem to glide along and some of them look to be very beautiful (the ones with uncovered faces). Maybe they have their faces covered ...

... learning the language. Well I cheated, Ian wrote a lot of words down and I'm just looking at the piece of paper that he wrote them on. They speak English in Abu Dhabi. In fact at the supermarket we went to, where I brought, of all things Hob Nobbs which are English biscuits and when I paid the guys I said cheers and he replied cheers. Didn't take me long to get them learning my language. Okay I will write ...
