Corfu was surprisingly warm today, around the mid 70s, which was warm enough for us to spend some time at the Aqualand water park. I've never been to a larger water park and we make is just in time before they closed for the winter. Me and my buddies played around until it began to get cool towards the late afternoon.
This morning we visited the ...
... little ladies. Woosh. I don't know what they put in the Southern American water, but whenever a latin beat comes on, the little 80-year old gals throw their walkers to the side, stand up and start gyrating their hips in 360 directions without a second's hesitation. And their husband's do the same. It makes you feel like a teenager just watching them. It's so, so great.
Okay, I think that may be all I have for updates right now. I've taken a zillion photos and even some ...
... not seem to worry the police in Italy, Greece, New York or in fact any where except NZ) to drive to the stunning village of Oia, a Greek village characterized by narrow streets and white house and churches with blue domes (learned that the blue domes are Greek Orthodox Churches and the white domes are Catholic ones) – it offers breath taking views over the Gulf of Santorini. As we approached the village the taxi driver stopped in the middle of ...
Corfu Town, Ionian Islands, Greece sewtersojourns... stopped at a reef late morning and swam with the fish and tried to snorkel and lounged on our pool toys and just had a generally nice time. Spent the rest of the day sailing along and chatting with the crew and then had our big sailing race back to Plateria, where we'd set sail from on the first day. It was all very intense....... except for the fact that there was zero wind. It was ridiculous. I think someone actually jumped off their boat and swam beside it - that's ...
Corfu Town, Ionian Islands, Greece t_lee... in Rome, so did some more get to know you games and whatnot on the next leg of the drive before arriving at Bari. We had about an hour to shop for groceries (and, more importantly, alcohol) for our 3 days on board the boats and discovered the cheapest strawberry vodka (which was amazing mixed with lemonade - tasted like nerd lollies!) and the most expensive sunscreen. And there were like 2 to choose from. Apparently skin cancer isn't such a big deal in Europe.. We ...
Corfu Town, Ionian Islands, Greece t_lee... they spend a lot of time relaxing, because they live on an island. I have only one dislike. The water was too cold and dirty for my taste, but there are a lot of swimming pools around, so I didn't need to swim in the open. This journey was a fun journey and I will never forget it.
Corfu Town, Ionian Islands, Greece indianabones... beautiful and worth every penny.... No Greek Orthodox Church can charge you any fee. The churches operate off gratuity and are free to any Greek Orthodox to use once scheduled. We moved on to the resorts in Dassia to view accommodation options for our guests. We were told by our wedding planner that this area is the most five star, high quality living in all of Corfu. We viewed two hotels, both operated by ...
Corfu, Greece odysseyrevealed... swimming and cliff jumping (worst kind whasname who wouldn't jump, potentially killed the entire vibe of the booze cruise)
Met L-Bow and Jess due to Bosh's inability to capture Jess's cliff jump on camera due to forgetting what she looked like
Bosh labelling some brown dude as an absolute zero and reiterating it constantly
Creepy Captain George offering a couple 300E each to have sex in the hull (not the first people to have been ...
... Louis told us that we NEEDED to try a Gyros (cheap at only €1.20), which is like a Souvlaki but it had chicken pieces, salad and French fries in it...yum! Really relaxed atmosphere here, LOVE IT! We went back to the hotel had the rest of the afternoon free, so we lounged around the pool and drank cocktails until dinner time. Was very relaxing, needed the time out to get over our disgusting colds. Everyone on the bus got sick at this point in the ...
