I'd booked two nights in Liepaja as there was a lot of Soviet stuff in the surrounding area I wanted to try and find. So I really need to walk a lot! Skoudas is quite a large town near the Latvian border and there a large number of smaller villages scattered throughout the relatively flat landscape. Many people ride bikes around here and they do not have to contend with the hills we have in Perth. You ...

... we did go to Panama, a restaurant near the park, for dinner that night. We chose to walk there, but Vytaute was getting very concerned about the dark clouds and thunder and lightning heading our way. We made it to 20142the restaurant and were watching them set up to cook pancakes on an outside BBQ when the rain just pelted down! I don't think anyone was going to get those pancakes!!! But I would highly recommend this ...
