... on a tour of Pretoria which was a strange city in that there are some stunning and very European looking buildings mixed in with very run down and unattractive buildings. It had a good atmosphere though. I won't be going into the centre of joburg which according to my tour guide is a very good thing; apparently Pretoria is much nicer so it sounds like I chose the right tour! No idea if I will have wifi in Kenya so hopefully I will be posting an entry again soon but I will have to wait and ...

... We then catch our 20 minute flight to Praslin Island, where we will be staying. From the Airport on Praslin we board the bus for a 30 minute adrenalin rush bus ride to our hotel. Thereafter it will be check in and Single Malt whiskey on the beach until the next day dawns.

... the outside loo, (i have seen them before), it was the fact that the dog had decided to have puppies right next to the toilet and every time you went to the loo the dog would growl the whole time, very off putting when all you hear is a growling dog and cannot see it whilst doing your business.

Anyway that finishes off my stay in Benoni, now heading off to the game reserve for three weeks.


Kruger & Lesotho

... though he was gonna run over and hump our car…I couldn't get the car into first gear quick enough!

Kruger is good because you get to see a lot of different animals in genuine environment, whereas day safaris in Kenya & Tanzania tend to focus on one species eg elephants, lions or leopards.

... had actaully raced at brans hatch and had stayed in Maidstone of al places! Later on, the hosts decided it was a good idea to force feed us every south african beverage under the sun! very funny! there were some concoctions that I would never have dreamed possible!
