... there is a Kauai in the shopping centre near the house, and it is not just a Cape Town institution. Sarah and I both had Moroccan wraps, hers with steak and mine with veggie protein strips (a rarity in Africa). Yum! We’ll definitely miss Kauai when we leave.

... the outside loo, (i have seen them before), it was the fact that the dog had decided to have puppies right next to the toilet and every time you went to the loo the dog would growl the whole time, very off putting when all you hear is a growling dog and cannot see it whilst doing your business.

Anyway that finishes off my stay in Benoni, now heading off to the game reserve for three weeks.

... to have a solid group of people you can relate to and rely on. But why think your group is better, more valid or more important? Maybe it's natural for us to be this way but that just means we have to work harder to counter this. We have to actively make sure we aren't saying things that make us superior or discriminatory. I don't think there's anything wrong with that: trying. That's all we can really do.
