I was talking to him about getting the pier train and he was concerned we would all get wet. Wills has been on that train before many years ago but he has clearly forgotten about what it was like. He thought we were all travelling to the end of the pier on a miniature railway that children go on where you straddle the train!

In between and along the way, we passed Ric************'s real estate holdings, the Sandy Lane resort where, according to our guide, rooms start at $1600 per night, another new expensive condominium building with roomy units of 18,000 square feet and so on. Although there are a few very wealthy 'locals', most of the affluence is foreign, primarily British.

... Bay before stopping and getting out at Little Bay. By now we were on the the north-east coast of Barbados with a great view of rock pools, breathtaking scenery and numerous, magnificent blowholes! The photos here are quite fuzzy from all the salt mist that covered the lens. Matt snuck some ice cubes down my pants which is why I was attacking him; I can think of better ways to cool down!

It never occurred to either of us that the crew/staff would have to deal with overly intoxicated guests. No happy hour, no cheap well drinks---drinks onboard ship are expensive no matter what you’re drinking. You’d spend serious dough to get so obviously intoxicated. The guy and his wife obviously have more money than sense. ...
