      ... several festivals throughout the year.  Right passed Platt Fields I walk into Rushholme, otherwise known as The Curry Mile.  This is the most interesting section of my walk to class!  It is a full mile dedicated to residents from the Middle East and other locations.  This is a full mile filled with traditional dress shops, shisha cafes, and food ranging from Afghanistan to India.  The scent of curry is literally in the air, hence the name Curry Mile!  ...

      We have left the worst of the weather behind us thank goodness but it is still wet and grey. Had breakfast and then went up on deck 15 to watch Gibraltar getting nearer. Arrived approx one and were off by half past, just as we had got to the cruise terminal the heavens opened and we waited awhile until it had stopped.       ... and a cheeky white... It is a hard life. In the evening we had a table for two and I had a Caesar salad and a sirloin steak which was lovely. We went up to Manhattan and saw Andrew Browning who was a George Michael tribute act and very good, after that we saw an act in Mallabar and by the time they had finished it was gone 12 and not wanting to turn into a pumpkin we retired for the night looking forward to Gibraltar ...

      ... sun and a little pick me up. Tired after 23 miles, we ordered a pint of Black Sheep reviving ale and casually remarked what a shame we couldn't just stay here. " Oh but you can!" Said the man behind the bar who happened to be the GM! At first he happily did us a deal, which the owner, Bob, has kindly made gratis as a contribution to our charity.
