    Day Ninety Five: Barnsley

A travel blog entry by lcrigby on Jul 10, 2015

Today was another day of me copping stick from every man and his dog in England today about the cricket. Again we went to the gym before the cricket started which was good - I did an intense cardio session and was dripping with sweat afterwards, I have missed the feeling. After the gym I went over to Nikki's again to watch some more of the cricket. I only watched the first session and came back over ...

    Day Ninety Four: Barnsley

I think I have developed fantastic selective hearing after the last two days watching the Ashes. The amount of dribble that comes out of both Nikki and Barra's mouth is incredible. ... is amazing. We spent an hour walking around the gardens and taking in the serenity and the sunshine. We walked back to the house where we decided we would try the canned hotdogs for lunch. It is safe to say that we will not be eating them again as they weren't very pleasant. No amount of bread, ketchup or mustard could mask the taste of the hotdog. Anyway, after lunch we spent the afternoon doing a little bit more research and talking to our families on Skype ...

... sun and a little pick me up. Tired after 23 miles, we ordered a pint of Black Sheep reviving ale and casually remarked what a shame we couldn't just stay here. " Oh but you can!" Said the man behind the bar who happened to be the GM! At first he happily did us a deal, which the owner, Bob, has kindly made gratis as a contribution to our charity. We have subsequently enjoyed a delicious supper and a couple of Pimms!! Just as well tomorrow should be a relatively easy ...
