    ... bright colored paint for signs and some buildings...

  • their buildings are tattered, but scattered with satellite dishes...
  • their hospitality is forefront, even when they have very little...
  • there is little variety in the clothes the women wear (nearly all sarees and salwars) but they are always brightly colored fabrics...
  • Men? nearly all in pants and shirts with buttons, and an occasional lunghi (wrap). No shorts or ...

    ... she was in a sea of Elsa's and Ana's as the magic happened. After the hair, makeup and costume were complete it was followed by an individual photo session and then a backstage meet and greet with Ariel, Snow White and Cinderella.     Boy, isn't that the truth! As much as I love traveling, as much as I love South America, we sure do have it great here in our country. I am the first to tell you that I take so many little things for granted. Brushing my teeth with tap water, eating salad (can't do that in third world countries), walking down our streets without worrying about being "the foreigner", eating food that we understand, speaking our own language.

    Omelet for Jim and a bagel and smoked salmon for me.. no cream cheese but try it with Salsa! It's so good and the portion was huge!
