      ... was built in 1887 by an English man. (that date will be forever etched onto our brain now by our guide who said the date every 2 minutes of our 1 hour guided tour!)

      Our guide was very informative and you could tell he was really passionate about the building. He even took us up above the stage to show us the old ropes and workings they use to pull up the curtain and change the scenery.

      ... designed for European bottoms - well not mine anyway. When the young Indian who is allocated the seat beside me turns up we offer him a swap which he accepts gratefully :-) The train clatters out of the station and we are lucky to find that the two seats opposite are unoccupied so we each get a bench to ourselves.       ... passed people in the remotest of locations waiting for the train to pass to continue their journey. The tunnels are filled with alcoves for people to jump in when the train comes a runnin'.
