  • Stopped off at the train station to try and purchase tickets for the narrow gauge toy train to Kalka, but were told to come back tomorrow and buy on the day. Followed the ridge to the Himachal State Museum, an interesting museum of sculptures, paintings and brass work from the province. The museum was housed inside a nice colonial style building with a massive telecoms tower behind it.

    ... was clean and cozy, and overlooked the valley which was so green and so beautiful and so character-filled that your eyes can't help becoming perplexed. I found myself staring and transfixed with how buildings stayed up on the hills and tried to figure out how people even accessed their houses.
