Ready to move on i headed to the bus station with one of the girls i met. We got there early to try and get a ticket but couldnt get anything until 1030am so we had breakfast and waited. The bus ride was only 3 hours and went really quickly. We were given free bottled water and a fruit bread roll for the journey. We chatted a bit and napped too. The hostel Fun D was pretty easy to find. Only about a 10 minute walk from the bus station which feels alot ...

The days are warm (even hot at points) and the evenings are cooler but easy to handle.

... with animal skins, bones, horns and odd buildings while the white temple followed a more traditional path although Predator was appearing out of the ground and human skulls hung from trees ................ Google them for more info.

Got back to the hotel just after 1pm and Jan had a nanny nap (probably a bit of jet lag) then we headed off to the night markets and found them typical of most markets. We had our favourite, a banana roti ...

... on wine, and sleeping on a cloud to local bumpy busses, street food and cookies, and a wooden seat on a boat for two days certainly should feel like ripping off a bandaid quickly alright!  Stay tuned for all the fun adventures that come next in Laos. Thank you again Linton for being my #foodporn partner in crime for the past 2 weeks and putting up with my desire to climb every stair and hill to reach temples, canyons, and get off the beaten path.  Hope you enjoyed the ride as much as I ...
