... ice of a lake that froze while the temperature was damn cold, the wind was calm and no precipitation fell from the sky. These rare early winter conditions happen on a rare occasion, with this winter being one of them... a creation of champaign ice.

And lastly, In the town of Darwin, Minnesota, is the quirkiest of all. One man has assembled the worlds largest ball of twine. It weighs in at 70 tons and is just about the only attraction in town. It has been certified by the Guiness Book of Records - so if you want to spend the next 45 years doing nothing but rolling up twine, you too might be able to beat this record.
