    ... we decided that we would chill by the beach for the day. The beach is amazing with at least 100 yards of shallow water for the kids to happily play in, surprisingly warm too considering it's the Baltic. The best beach seller in the form of ice cream pirates pulled to the shore on their boat, giving the kids exactly what they wanted - buying an ice cream before walking the plank.

    ... on the streets in Euope. Some call them professional beggars here as apparently many make a good living from it and many of the countries where they are have low unemployment and they think they do it as they choose to do it. But they are mainly in Southern and Central Europe. I haven't seen any since we left Paris. There weren't any in Amsterdam and none in Scandinavia countries. Not sure about the reason for this. Wondering if it is against the law ...

    ... dress ups , pits of foam rubber pieces to romp in , appealing to kids of varying ages and the entire thing inspired by the philosophy and work of a Danish artist in the '60's.Stories of the incredible social systems in this country,services for the disabled, the aged, the attitude to unemployment/creating new, different jobs and the necessity for all to work will have to wait for the real telling.

    ... the work items that we'd commissioned over the winter was to do whatever was required to improve the water circulation around the engine (replace water pump, clear out the heat exchanger and ensure that the saildrive intakes were clear) and I’m pleased to report that our problem seems to be fixed – at 2000rpm the temperature stayed fixed at around 84°C, just right and the 6 hour run to Klintholm was a good test.
