We went to the Chen Clan Academy this mornng, stunning architecture. This was a temple built by the Chen family members where their youngsters could come and study for their examinations. A fabulous building going 3 courtyards back. There was a lovely museum with a reconstruction of a Guangzhou house and artworks.

After we disembarked from the night train we checked into the Westin and then made our way to Yuexiu Hill to visit Sun Yat Sen Monument and the Ming Dynasty Zhenhai Tower (Guangzhou Museum).

... I went back to see Dr. Hugo this Monday. On Thursday I had a CT scan at one of the local hospitals – now that is service! An English speaking nurse and a driver from the clinic took me to the hospital and looked after everything – painless and stress-free for me. ... at this little arts and crafts gig and relied heavily on my instructor to create my Chinese knot.

Lastly, in what already was a busy morning, we went out and headed to another building where there a dumpling cooking seminar was set up. Similar to the Chinese knots, this activity too was hands on. In this case, many old grandmas horded the cooking area making their classical dumplings as I peered in for a closer look.
