Having been out all afternoon on Tuesday with Meiying our Wednesday lecture was cancelled so we spent the day doing admin-y things like collecting our textbooks and generally avoiding being outside as much as possible because it was a very cold and grey day.     And so, on Thursday the induction began. We were split into groups for a very thorough campus tour, and then all the exchange students regrouped for a quick introduction to the IT system. Once we'd al logged on and set up our email we were free to go for lunch, so we joined the Irish girls and a few other people for our first canteen meal.     ... The plane turned out to be pretty empty, so all our efforts to get seats together on the online check-in seemed a bit of a waste as there were entire rows still free.
