    ... from Piazza Oberdan to Opicina. Some of the sections are so steep it has to use a tug that pulls the tram up by a huge cable. Takes about 20 minutes to get to the top. From Opicina there is a walking path along the hillside to Prosecco. Its about 5ks with some stunning views of Tireste and the Adriatic sea. Pity about the cloudy skies.

    ... knowledge it took hundreds of thousands of years to delicately form. The entire tour was about an hour and a half, but I could have spent all day in there. Cool yet humid, it was very refreshing in the cave. Hope the photos come out, because the lighting is very dim to preserve the formations.     ... Slovenian drivers. Don't get me wrong, they seem nice enough but... This is the kind of situation which freaked me out last year. And I have no credit on my phone. Arrrgggghh. I'm sure it'll be fine - they say I have to switch buses at Sezana which is just over the border, so hopefully there will be more travellers / women / people in general there.
