... they let the grapes dry in the sun. While I was happy to drink the first wine, I preferred a more dryer wine and we ended up getting a bottle of rose, from Crete. We had some amazing food to go with the wine, we shared a walnut and ham salad with sun dried tomatoes, lettuce etc and then angel hair wrapped prawns with a tomato salsa. Pricey but worth it. Delish. After a couple of hours of drinking and eating in the sun, we wondered over to ...

I’d read someone compare them as Greece’s equivalent to Pompeii, but they were nothing like Pompeii. Does the donkey get taken out of service for a while??? These are all terribly good questions. Of course on the other side of the coin, ...

We arrived Santorini at 9am this morning. All our luggages were intact. We got a hotel transfer from the airport for 15 euros. Our hotel is called Arc Houses. It's a hotel overlooking the caldera. It's the cheapest hotel that I can find with a view, but at 147 euro per night, it's not cheap. It won the best ratings for satisfaction for the price paid in 2012 on Trip Advisor. The room has a small 2m x 2m terrace with 2 reclining chairs. The room itself is built into ...

    ... after your meal.

We chose the absolute best time to visit Greece and Turkey as the weather was perfect and not overrun by tourists. Most Greeks and Turks in the tourist areas speak fluent english, thank God, as everything written in their language is undecipherable. While they are very direct, I found everyone friendly and helpful and would visit again in a heart beat.
