Coming back from the trip has been terrible. I was hoping for changes to come fast in my life after returning from the trip, but that hasn't happened. We eventually reached a clearing that contained a large rock wall with the words "Sutter's Mill" written out using light colored rocks, while all of the others were darker. This turns out to be the actual site of the mill. The main tourist attraction here is Old Sacramento Town. Its a National historic landmark with 53 historic buildings from the gold rush days with museums and shopping. An enjoyable way to kill an afternoon.
