Well I knew the funds were in the bank so I figured that I had made a mistake filling out the form.so I went ...
... by the canal. Further up the canal we watched narrow baots coming through the Wharton lock and picked blackberries while we waited.
We visited Tattenhall market for some homemade goodies and stopped on the way home for creak tea at Tarporley! Great day.
... After that we headed west to Shrewsbury and Telford. Getting towards 6 pm we got a bit worried about where we would sleep but found a great pub at Wellington on the outskirts of Telford.
Computer time is a bit difficult this week but there may be more news in a few days.
Sorry no pictures this time.

At lunchtime we had a meal with Ernie and Sandra in the Star. Good value but not exactly cordon bleu. But as they say one door closes and another opens, new adventures beckoned. When we left last time it didn't really feel like goodbye now we know we don't have to come back for a while there is a different feel to what we are doing, we are now staring into the unknown and just like leaving the UK for the first time we are excited and scared in equal measures!
... sunshine as we retraced our journey to Middleport Pottery to moor as arranged. Not such an open welcome. The lady agreed reluctantly, so we went up the hill to Burslem Methodist Church which was very lively. Youngsters, elderly, families, a good mix. Acoustics not very good, but seven musicians producing modern music, and a good talk about hearing God's voice and being called, using the story of Ananias visiting Saul after the Damascus Road ...
Stoke-on-Trent, United Kingdom jamesandhazelThere was an American Indian once, who took a train across the great prairies. After three days travelling at speeds he had only ever imagined, he arrived at his destination. Alighting from the train, he sat down on the platform quietly, seemingly unwilling to travel further.

V festival was wonderful - Neily and I had such a good time. I love music festivals - five years is definitely too long between drinks. V was unreal - so so many of my faves were there, James Morrison, definitely the highlight, though The Script, Lily Allen, Fat Boy Slim, Pete Murray, Natalie Imbrulia, Snow Patrol, Oasis & The Killers definetly make the ...
