My adventure has officially begun!! Whoop whoop.
I left Joburg this afternoon (Wednesday 2nd) and am now sitting in Adis Ababa for a 2 hour layover before heading to Paris. And I must say that I'm pretty surprised that the Adis airport is better than Dar es Salaams... Not that that's very difficult to beat. AND it has recliner chairs... Genius. But no wifi!!

Now on african soil!

20 hours of travelling so far, delayed and detoured plane to rome, and a still frozen turkey and pesto sandwich - defiatly worst plane food ive had to date.

luckily i had a nice zambian women and her young son next to me sharing her fish and chips and cheese puffs that they had snuck onto the plane...

im still smiling though, i think the special shaped travel cushion i purchased duty free has a big part to play in my mood!

Getting to the plane in Ethiopia was a nightmare. We had three different flight clerks give us completely different instructions and directions. After dragging 12 women through literally hundreds of people to get to the bus to take us to the plane, we were told that plane was headed to Dubai. U-turn!! Therefore, by the time we found our plane, we had five minutes to board. And clearly ...
