Lion City Hotel Johor Bahru

... may be the best shopping centre in the world - I have never seen so many designer shops! Then we went on the Singpore flyer which was good as we got to see the F1 track. Singapore is so built up and modern. They also have a crazy number of cargo ships just sitting around in the sea!
We went to dinner at Boat Quay which was really nice, we went for some traditional food, we had pizza!!!

Can not believe it's been nearly 3 weeks! I'd like to add entries weekly but time just flies right by! We managed to find a lovely abode! We had a look around the areas and first picked where we wanted to live and then ended up finding the best place for the best deal in our ideal location! ... island just off Singpore. The bus took us past a wheel similar to the London Eye (which they claim is bigger than ours) then onto Sentosa via a bridge past a massive cargo container port. Sentosa, again, is having a lot of building work. ... take me to this one bar in Clarke Quay, the area where all the bars are. We jumped on the Subway and within a few minutes walked out into the row of bars where we had to have one drink at "The Clinic." It's a bar set up like a hospital: they are hospital chairs you sit in for seats and the drinks come in IV bags and extra large plastic "shots" (like the tubes you get shots from). We rolled around in the middle of the day in the wheelchairs and drank "shots." It was too much fun and I didn ...

Various shops in the mall, combined with the three buffet meals a day (plus a snack at tea break!) was plenty to keep me fed and busy throughout the tournament. ... area was also staggeringly visual and colourful at night. We ate at a great restaurant on the riverside and enjoyed viewing the endless restaurants, bars and clubs lining the river and offshooting lanes. It excited C that there was a Hed Kandi bar and Ministry of Sound club ... though at the early hour we strutted the area, they were pretty empty as it was WAY early for trendy people!
