    ... so. In order to get the visa, I would have to send my passport or travel in person to Beijing where I would have to stay for 10 days. I would have needed to say exactly what day and time I would be arriving and entering the country. As a result, I had to bid "proshchaniye" to that Idea. The blows kept on coming.
    Oscar was proving to be more and more of a logistical nightmare by the second. Whether it was a case of getting lost in translation or red-tape ...

    ... I showed up at 9 p.m. just in case. Of course, no one was there. I tried to talk to some guy who was standing in front of the buses but he didn't seem to know what I was talking about. I called May and she translated some things for me, but the real matter was that I'd have to go and find a place to sleep until the morning. Ugh. Beautiful mountain, horrible bus service.

    4) Marvin- the very nice English teacher who was awaiting my QQ message to confirm time with him tomorrow to take me to the train station! (As he was being considerate in waiting and knowing I don’t have my phone now!), OR…tomorrow is very hectic with me trying to find him and also seem inconsiderate to him for not giving him ...

    ... something there and be flown BACK TO ZHUJI in a week to “complete” this process all over again.

    So it was pretty annoying in the end but I was able to leave with some hope, new plans to return and bring MORE and off to Suzhou I was to begin my real Gao Kao travels…
