    Alarm set for 2.30am so it was early to bed. Woke up quite fresh and all ready for our holidays. Flight left Aberdeen on time and was fairly smooth, arrived at Amsterdam to find our flight out was delayed by 2hrs, 35 mins!! :-( There was nothing else for it, off to the business lounge for a refreshment!     ... just as well our Spanish classes are at an early stage as we do not understand what the Spanish woman says about Kathleen to her friend.

    Its a long 13 hour flight and the last thing you need after that is Terminal 5. Ponce again we get lost and end up out in the domestic terminal.

    When we get back to Aberdeen it is cold and there is a light dusting of snow which makes having been away for three weeks feel all the better.

Todd and I are still trying to get a grasp on the culture, but we are starting to figure it out. We met many individuals from congregation and hope to develop deeper relationships, and a deeper understanding before we leave. ...

    ... that we knew the quickest route back to Troup Head.

    Troup Head must be one of the RSPB’s most unusual reserves, topographically speaking. It probably has more vertical than horizontal surface area. It is reached from the coast road between Macduff and Pennan where a minor road takes you through a couple of farms before arriving at a small car park, then it’s a half mile or so walk along the edges of fields to the reserve gate – and about 10 yards ...
