... or heard anything so cute. His name was Loffe and sadly neither customs nor Maria would let me take him home. For dinner we had a Swedish speciality, kebab pizza. Yes thats right. Basically its a pizza base with kebab topping. We had already eaten three times that day and their small was equivelant to our medium, but Jac and I managed to finish the whole thing. Much to our demise later that night. Never Again!
Wednesday I woke up still ...
... Along the way we stopped at Ikea for lunch. Sanja and i were going to order our ow meals but our attepmts at learning the Swedish failed miserably but much to the ammusement of the lady behind us in line and the guy who served us. Tiu kett bullar tack! ( 10 swedish meatballs thanks) Later that night we went out clubbing again with Maria, Stina, Louice, Albin and Sarah. This time to a club called Måndags klubben ( Monday's club) in Vadstena ( a small town in the middle of ...
Linköping, Östergötlands Län, Sweden heathje... to know everyone better. Our next stop is to walk over to Kira's parents, Thorston and Mariane Engholm, who live about 15 minutes walk away. So, everyone gets bundled up and off to another Fika. The Engholm's have a charming Swedish home with red beams. It is beautifully furnished and very comfortable. Before retirement Thorston Engholm's career was in the Swedish Air Force ...
Mjolby, Swedish Lakeland, Sweden victorkubikDay 3 was our last day and we had to get up really early for a bus at around 5 in the morning. We then had hours to kill before our flight home. On the flight we were just leaving when someone was taking ill so we had to go back and unload them, they were taken off in an ambulance.
We spent the second day just chilling out and looking around the town (not much to see in winter) before heading to a sports bar for dinner and then to the concert.
The concert was amazing and afterwards we went to the stage door. After waiting ages we were told that Kerry and Mazz had gone out the front door so we ran round the front, highly embarassing as it was a glass building so Mazz saw us run round.
... so finally we were off to the venue.
Stage Door
The venue, the Louis de Geer, was only about a 10 minute walk away so we headed to the stage door to meet Laura's friends. We saw Kerry Ellis briefly but Mazz was on the phone. Laura's friends invited us out but because of strict drinking laws we couldn't go. So back to the hostel it was to battle with the shower that had no door or no light!

Mjölby, Sweden victorkubikHE SAID: Today we flew from Ireland to Sweden. It was sad to leave Ireland since I really enjoyed it there. We landed at Norrkoping and had some time before our train was to leave for Linkopping. So after taking a $30 6 minute taxi to the train station, we explored this college town. It wasn't more than 1 hour before Stacy had made her first shoe purchase in Sweden. Back at the train station, we tried to pay at the ticket office and was told to pay ...
Linköping, Sweden travelbee... a deep reflection on traveling and how the trip really did change my outlook on life, but I'll wait and write that until after I'm done traveling. When will I return to the 'real world'? When will I get tired of living out of a suitcase, uncertain of what time it really is? When will enough be enough? I'll let you know when that time comes:) In the meantime, I've got some blank pages in my passport to fill ...
