Although I have to admit that I would never do it if I was the one who would have to clean it up because the resulting mess was something straight out of a horror film. After that there was lots of dancing and more drinking. Unfortunately for some there was too much drinking (not the case for ...

The next day I ran a few errands and did some baking during the day and then that evening went over to my friend Anna's to hang out with her and Kati. ... you get a list of specific books and supplies that are required Sweden has more of an if you feel like it approach. Instead, we get a three-page list with about two dozen books listed and the teachers just say "Here are some suggestions. Get a couple, don't get a couple, it makes no difference to me. Heck, go get a different book that you like instead if you think it will help." So weird!!! So ...

We left Germany, and took a ferry across to Trelleborg, Sweden. We stayed overnight close to this town, and set off the next day for a fairly long drive to Vadstena in the lake region in the middle of southern Sweden. Our hotel was directly opposite Vadstena castle, a relatively small building surrounded by a moat. Great view as you walked out the front door. On Thursday we went to Motala to go on the Gota Canal. We had originally found a 5 day canal cruise running west to east across ...
