The tour began in the central square of Clapedia where Hitler gave a speech in 1933. We then went to a small statue of a mouse that is said to grant wishes if it's nose is rubbed. The tour guide took us to an amber shop where we were able to see the stones being polished and see fine works of art, my brother bought a miniature sailboat made of amber. During the Russian occupation of Lithuania many people were sent to Siberia to live. Our ...

One wrong turn got us detoured to a city park with 120 amazing sculptures ...

Actually, the elk on the roadsigns do look a lot like they are dancing, so I guessd that they must be a rarer kind of elk. Never mind. I enjoyed my trip and have reconciled myself to the notion that I am destined to catch wildlife that only moves up to 10 metres a year. ...

Hard tailin' it to Juodkrante

... A little way along, the track got very rough and the climb to the top started. Chucking it up a couple of gears and the climb wasn't anything to difficult, just rocky riding. Hard tail mountain bikes sure are ******* the tail! Soon enough I made it to the top and got an excellent view of the lagoon on one side, and the Baltic Sea on the other. As I found out later, it was actually the highest dune you can climb along the whole bike track.

I made my ...
