Whereas we'd left our balcony curtains open the day before, for our arrival in Geiranger, the light had kept us up so we elected to close the back-out curtains before going to bed. I was awake early and didn't want to disturb the girls, but curiosity finally got the better of me and I inched my way through the curtain and went out on the balcony as quietly as possible. The sky was cloudless and the brightness blinded me for a moment, but then I ...

... what with the weather and our last minute organisation. We grabbed some lunch from the nearby supermarket, explored Flam a little, had an ice cream and then headed back to the camp site since it was looking like it was going to rain. The views change all time from gentle green slopes with orchards to dramatic snow covered mountains. The small towns you pull into are quaint and you look in awe at the lone houses kilometres up the steep mountain side of the fjord and wonder how the residents get home! At Eidfjord, you can hang out here for some hours or take an additional "Eidfjord ...

... and controlling our descent. The view as we came down was amazing. A beautiful green valley surrounded by steep cliffs and many small waterfalls. The rest of the trip revealed more sights and tunnels. At the end of an hour we arrived at Voss.

We had a 30 minute wait in Voss for the last stage, the train back to Bergen. We waited in the Railway station with a beer and hot chips that I had craved when on board the ship!! Once the train came ...
