... edge of the road. Great sweeping corners and 10-15mph switchbacks (hairpins). This is the heart of hillbilly country and they have a fiddle & ukulele festival annually.
Heber Springs is built on a massive lake and hosts plenty of water activities, much like Somerset Dam at home. We decided to head directly to our accommodation for a swim and much needed relaxation. We met 2 guys from Omaha Nebraska in the pool, Pat & Steve who were on a 10 day road trip on ...
... but we let the kids (and Russ) jump in anyway :-) Megan was in and out of the lake the whole time!
After that we headed back to the condo for lunch and then back out for mini golf and swimming. We finished up the day with dinner, ice cream and a family board game. It was a nice slow day to finish off the trip.
... mummy' anong other things a couple of times :-(
Last year came around a corner and hit a round rock which dented my front wheel rim and caused my GPS to fly off. The year came around the corner and there right in the middle of my lane was a Land Turtle exactly the same size as the rock! This time I missed it :-)
Off tomorrow but have not quite decided where too many choices and time is running out.
... stroll around the downtown area which seemed to be all Antique (2nd hand) shops and bought a CD from one of them. It was one from my childhood, Roger Miller's 'King of the Road'. I can;t wait until I can get home and play it.
Have attached pictures of my current residence. I will be staying an extra day because I like the area and my residence.
... So as I said the rain came and soaked me. I abandoned my road trip and headed for the caves again. There was another trip I could take. By the time I got to the caverns the rain had stopped so I decided to take a walk around the grounds with Mrs Robinson :-) Pictures attached.
Got on my road trip but the GPS started acting up and I had to find my way bak home (sigh).
Tomorrow road tripping again.
