Marvelous Melbourne
I absolutely love this quaint boutique hotel. It is a modern immaculate hotel with a great restaurant. The accommodations, food, services and friendliness of the staff was far beyond what we expected. In addition, it was within walking distance to many sites. And the trolley was a block away. Melbourne is a beautiful city. It's noted for its …

Historical Traveler Reviews Hotel Lindrum Melbourne
Great staff, cool hotel
Arrived after long journey from Sydney. Bag left in taxi. Without knowing us staff galvanised into action. Bag returned within half hour. Rooms stylish. Loved the calm music as we checked in. Room spacious, and comfortable. Hotel Bar was a small area but we were made to feel very welcome despite my vice of smoking. (Apologies to non smokers-eg. partner, however the bar was the only area allowed and a relief for addicts on a cold night!) Food was excellent both for the evening meal and a large breakfast. All staff we met were friendly, fun and helpful. We would return again since it is placed near the Federation Square, MCG, Museums and Art Galleries...well you might have to walk but trams are numerous...if you can work them out.
Nice, but ......
We arrived at the Hotel Lindrum after a long days drive from the Grampians and along the Great Ocean Road, and so were looking for a comfortable nights rest.
Exceptional Service
We loved our stay at the Lindrum, a beautiful boutique hotel with full size billiard tables guests can play. The restaurant meals were excellent and the chef very accomodating with special dietary requirements. Enjoyed the atmosphere of the bar. Walking distance to a number of trendy bars and clubs as well as the MCG. Parking available next door.
Loving the Lindrum
Lovely hotel, helpful staff, very comfortable way of getting over jet lag from the UK. Really good restaurant too - we had breakfast and dinner here both of which were superb. Highly recommended, and we'll definitley return when we return to Oz.
How good !!
Great Hotel - Perfectly located - great staff - well priced - superb rooms. We stayed here on our first couple of nights after flyingt in from the UK - what a great decision. A ++++++++ Highly recommended
Beautiful!
What an absolutely beautiful hotel. With it's modern and contemporary designs, extremely friendly staff and very spacious rooms, the Lindrum is faultless. Would recommend this hotel to everyone.
Just what I needed after a long flight
After taking the long route from the States to Melbourne via L.A. and Hong Kong, I arrived at the Lindrum totally exhausted. I can't imagine a better way to crash in a new foreign city than at the Hotel Lindrum. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, the rooms are large and very tasteful, the showers hot and invigorating and all of the amenities were top-notch. I liked the place so much that I made reservations for a future visit before leaving.
The location is excellent, and for what you get I believe the price is very fair. Highly recommended.
Perfect
One of the best boutique hotels we've experienced. The rooms are large and tastefully appointed, in a modern way - the colours are neutral with warm woods here and there; beds and pillows were terrific; the bathroom again large and with appealing finishes. The location is very central, yet quiet enough - our room fronted the street, yet with windows closed was utterly insulated. It's a short walk to many of the great late night underground clubs, and some great eateries (Langton's in Flinders Lane is superb, with excellent wines). The service was discreet and friendly - asking the front desk for suggestions met with an animated and well-informed reply. Named after the billiards champion, there is a full size table near the bar. We would recommend this hotel ahead of any other we've tried.
Chic, but can be noisy....
This a a very chic, very central hotel. I have stayed here on 2 seperate occasions. The staff are friendly, but not-overly so. Just very relaxed. The rooms are beautiful, larger than the average with very stylish but comfortable fittings. Toiletries are Aesop - got to love that! The second time I stayed her, the bar was invaded by a mob of people coming out of the nearby concert arena. They drank and chatted until the small hours, and as my room was on the first floor, the nose travelled up the (trendy, open-plan) stairwell and I had a frustrating time trying to fall asleep. My advice would be to book a room on one of the higher floors.
An excellent boutique hotel
Spent 3 nights here in February...very comfortable, large room with lots of light, high ceilings. Nice service included welcoming basket with wine and fruit. Delicious continental breakfast included with freshly baked muffins and a nice assortment of tropical fruits. Very quiet location but not far from the Tourist Info office and the river.
