Lindos, Rhodes, Dodecanese, Greece, 85107, 00302244032110

Another beautiful day. Sunny 78 degrees on the island of Rhodes. We travel to Lindos half way down the island. To see the Acropolis were Paul spoke to the Greeks. A long climb to the top with a view to forever. Just outstanding. Back to the boat early to catch some sun by the pool.

I am going to upload a couple of pics from yesterday on Myconos to give you an idea of the beauty here.

Davo and Janet
Rhodes, Dodecanese, Greece bluemesa... all we could of the castle, we ventured outside the walls to go check out some ancient ruins. On the map, there was a big green park with some old ruins labeled, and it didn't look too far away. What the map didn't show was that it was uphill, hard to find, and when we got there it wasn't a park at all, but just an ancient stadium and some old columns surrounded by ...
Rhodes, Dodecanese, Greece tommcatt... built in the 1300's we wanna stay. Foula's looking for a place for us! :) It's like something you would think Disney made but it's REAL!! We spent 2 days in Athens with Georgia in her apt. went on a day trip to Cape Sunyo. Spent yesterday on the beach. Back to the beach today not sure what we'll be doing the rest of the week. Rhodes, Dodecanese, Greece kandiehart... of little alleyways again and you realized that you had come back to where you started. It was fun and we spent about 4 hours in there and then walked back to the ship. Had a late lunch on the ship and went to our cabin to have our afternoon siesta and watched Get Smart on tv. We decided to have a day off the grog so watched the ship leave from deck 7 and headed to the Casino for a short time and then came home.
Rhodes, Dodecanese, Greece stephgraeme... our day over it was time to catch our ferry to Athens. On our budget we chose the cheapest ticket available. Which means "Deck." But unfortunately for us what we didn't realise was that this means it is the only place on board were you can smoke. So the rest of the night with the lights on and us trying to get a nights sleep on our hard plastic benches, we breathed in the refreshing air of smoke. Shona has now got a smokers cough.

This is going to be a tough couple of days.

And we didin't!

I found out that life is very *************os. Partying during the night till the sun rises and going to the beach during the day. I think I'm still tired.

I didn't want to leave on sunday and didn't want to leave my new friends, one in particular! But I know I will be back soon.
Rhodes, Dodecanese, Greece nikkigoldsteinThe ferry trip from Naxos to Paros was only 2 hours, we had a guy meeting us to take us to our apartment as we had booked it with the people we stayed with in Naxos. We are about 80 metres from the beach, but haven´t had warm enough weather for swimming yet. Had a beautiful greek meal overlooking the harbour, and Doug took lots of sunset photos. No problem being a vegetarian here - I had stuffed eggplant. It is also the evening of the Champions League football final being ...
Paros, Greece car0dougNext we were onto Rhodes, one of the most historically significant Greek Isles. We saw the medieval old town, the Acropolis (yes, Rhodes has one too), and the site where the Colossus of Rhodes presumably stood in ancient times. We also got in a little beach time and visited a neat pottery factory.
Rhodes, Dodecanese, Greece melanieandjames... into me one after the other, filming every moment and apologising to the cobbled path.

But it was easy to escape these tedious scenes. All one had to do was dart into an alley and one was back in the world of Greeks sitting on doorsteps idly flicking worry beads. To say 'Kalimera' to them was to receive a bright smile in recognition and a reply. Previously the majority of Greeks in lowland Corfu and Athens had been disinterested or even downright mocking of our attempts to ...
