... They were there for the funeral of the man who owned the major newspaper in Cologne and so the church was cordoned off. We could not get into the church.

so, we did what we had to, eat in a super elegant sweet bakery where we enjoyed dessert style cakes that were flooded with strawberries, cherries, etc., cream frosting, ......you get the picture.

They had been visiting Fantasia, a giant funfair with lots of hairy rides. They were all pretty hyper and having a great time. The teachers were a bit frazzled though. We had head winds again but only bad in exposed places. Had a good ride with no stops to ask the way. The path ran alongside ...

... for 'Tourist Drives'. You pay a toll and can drive the circuit for a lap. We got our ticket and waited for it to open with our little Pug lined up next to a heep of Porsches and other nice cars. It's a pretty awesome feeling driving through the toll gate and onto the track, unfortunately because the F1 race is on the wknd we couldn't drive the small section on the GP circuit. Our little Pug still has around 15000kms of Europe roadtrip to go ...
