The room and service was exceptional. The spa was just what the doctor ordered after the long walk from Waterville, WA. The management graciously provided us with a substantial and nutritious early breakfast to enjoy the next morning since we would be leaving prior to their scheduled time.We would love to come here again for a relaxing weekend.

Nice fairly sunny day start today. George did have some drooling on and off this morning but got better by the afternoon. Did run into a bit of snow on the sides of the roads going over the White Pass but mostly heavy rain on and off. Stopped at Randal for lunch at "The Cafe" which was a ...

... strange but will have that available next year. Border guard confessed that they were concerned about lamb and goat when asking about meat? He did discover my bacon but let me go without any problems. Got as far as Wenatchee around 5:00. Stayed at EconoLodge - very basic - fairly clean but allowed pets and was cheap - $55.00 with only $10 for George. Wouldn't recommend but was OK - breakfast very very basic and couldn't even eat the ...

I was excited to see central Washington as it's a place I'd never seen before. The drive from Seattle to Wenatchee was beautiful, driving along US2 was scenic and it was a gorgeous day. Wenatchee itself is much more industrial than I imagined, I assume its reputation as the apple capital of the world has something to do with that. ...

... were 20,000 and in the tourist magazine said they have about 8,000. I would believe both numbers as I don’t know what those amounts look like. There were stalls set up throughout the town selling bikie stuff.

We drove through Washington State Park which was on a peninsula and had really thick forest on it. At least we could see the trees because the fog was so thick we couldn’t see anything out on the water. It was a shame, as I am sure there ...

      ... lol
Dinner tonight as we didn't have lunch, was down in a little German or Alpine style restaurant with snitzels & sauerkraut and some red wine straight from the cask and quite disgusting. We were serenaded by an 80 year old Piano Accordion player with hearing aides in both ears. So we toe tapped our way through our meal.
Back in our wonderfully decorated room its down time and the TV is on. Tomorrow is another day and where it leads us who knows..
